SPOTLIGHT ON KIM KAMIN

In addition to serving as the chief wealth strategist at Gresham Partners in Chicago, IL, Kim is an adjunct professor at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and on the faculty of The University of Chicago Booth School of Business Executive Education. She serves more than 120 ultra-high net worth families by partnering with them to develop and implement wealth transfer, philanthropic endeavors, education, and fiduciary planning.

In reference to her favorite client moments, Kim said, “what each event shares in common are the deep and enriching connections, the bond I witness between our clients and us, and how exciting and heartwarming it is to watch our clients become friends with each other. Memories are comprised of moments. And the composite of moments I have enjoyed with our clients is incredibly meaningful and special to me.”

“I feel particularly fulfilled working with individual clients over time, helping them determine how their estate plans should be structured for the wealth to ultimately maximize the flourishing of their families and achieve their philanthropic goals. It is tremendously rewarding to facilitate discussions that result in clients leaving legacies that align with their values and create measurable impact. Collaborating with their attorneys and other professionals to reach the best result for the client is also gratifying. Overall, as an educator, it is a great privilege to guide clients in documenting what matters most in ways that can positively impact future generations."

In addition to her great work and perspective on multigenerational wealth planning, she is a wife and mother of a rising college freshman.
